Important Dates and Deadlines

Wednesday, January 19, at noon – CSU Transaction Processing Deadline for the First January AGS Monthly Mass EAJ/Term Process for the Academic Graduate Student population, which runs Friday, January 21

Tuesday, January 25, at 1 p.m. – Prior Period Mass Advance of Time for the October 2021 time entry lock on December 31.

Friday, January 28, at noon – CSU Transaction Processing Deadline for the Second January AGS Monthly Mass EAJ/Term Process for the Academic Graduate Student population, which runs Tuesday, February 1.

Wednesday, February 2, at 3 p.m. – Semi-Monthly Mass Advance of Hourly Time for 1/16/22 - 1/31/22.

Wednesday, February 9, at noon – CSU Transaction Processing Deadline for the Monthly Mass EAJ/Term Process for all fixed-term employee and non-employee positions, which runs Friday, February 11

Thursday, February 17, at 3 p.m. – Semi-Monthly Mass Advance of Hourly Time for 2/1/22 - 2/15/22.


Job Alerts Now Available in Workday

Internal and External candidates can now create alerts for job postings via email for jobs that match their search criteria. Internal candidates can create an alert by navigating to the Career application on the Workday homepage and selecting Create Job Alert. Alerts can include specific job families, profiles, and organizations, among other options. Refer to the Find and Apply for a Job (Internal) – Workday Instructional Guide (WIG) for more information and step-by-step instructions.


Website Updates and Reminders

Continuing the series of website updates from last fall, a new askUS Support page is now available. The revamped page combines information about all supported systems and services provided by the askUS Support team into one convenient location.

In Candidate vs. Pre-Hire vs. Worker Records, the latest installment of Terminology Talk looks at the three records a person can have in Workday.

askUS Support Extended Hours for Spring Start-up

Through January 28, askUS Support will be available via phone or email from 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. to ensure departments receive the support they need during the busy period at the start of the spring semester. 

How do I use Green Output to print a DEFINE screen?

You can retrieve a TID payment document coversheet via Green Output using the PRT action in DEFINE for VP1, VP2, VP3, VPE, VP7, VP9, VPT, VE3, VT6, VJ3, and VJ5 commands. This is helpful for those payment documents with many transactions, like VP7s. VE5, VE6, VP5, VC1, VC2, and VC4 documents also have the Green Output feature. To learn more, continue reading Print A DEFINE Screen to Green Output.

Why am I getting an error while trying to pay out a separated employee’s vacation balance?

Double-check your time type selection when paying out vacation hours. Instead of choosing the normal a. Vacation time type, be sure to select the x. Payout at Separation – Vacation time type. Training Opportunities – Self-Paced or Instructor-Led

askUS Self-Paced Learning allows users to engage in training lessons and exercises at their own pace and convenience. Current offerings include Workday FundamentalsWorkday for Security Partners, and Financial Fundamentals.

Virtual Instructor-Led Training (ILT) courses are held via Zoom and require registration via UTLearn.
