askUS Self-Paced Learning Series

About Self-Paced Learning

askUS Self-Paced Learning is a series of courses designed for users to complete at their own pace and convenience. Each course focuses on specific topics or areas of work.  

Registration in UTLearn is not necessary in order to take askUS Self-Paced Learning, although some courses may allow learners to receive credit in UT Learn by taking a Comprehensive Assessment at the end of the course.

Workday Fundamentals

Workday Fundamentals is the first course in the askUS Self-Paced Learning series and replaces the in-person, Instructor-Led Training (ILT) introductory class. This course is designed for individuals who have been assigned Workday Security Roles that support workers or have analyst roles with the ability to view data. The lessons in this course are designed specifically to teach the foundational concepts of the system at an entry-level. Experienced Workday users may find this information useful as a knowledge refresher.

Workday for Security Partners

Workday for Security Partners is the next release in the askUS Self-Pace Learning series and replaces the in-person Security Partner Instructor-Led Training (ILT).  This course was designed for those who have been newly assigned the Security Partner role in Workday. It comprises topic based Security related lessons that provide a holistic view of the role and associated responsibilities including Role Assignment & Inheritance, Delegations, Reports & Dashboards, and more.  Existing Security Partners are highly encouraged to take this course as a refresher.

Financial Fundamentals

Financial Fundamentals is intended for anyone new to UT financial systems, whether you are a document initiator, approver, or viewer of financial-related data. The lessons in this course are designed to teach the foundational concepts of UT financial systems. While course content is presented for an entry-level audience, experienced users may find individual lessons helpful as a knowledge refresher.
