Recent Enhancements to Form I-9 Processing in Workday

During March, I-9 Partners learned about two new enhancements to Form I-9 processing in Workday. On March 10, E-Verify began syncing with Workday on a nightly basis. This change better ensured accurate statuses in Workday and removed the need for manual review and coordination between CSUs and Human Resource Service Center (HRSC). Later, on March 24, Legacy and Paper I-9 data previously unavailable to CSUs was added in Workday to the Worker’s Additional Data section under the header I-9 and E-Verify Completed Outside of Workday section of the in Workday. For more information and links to updated training materials, continue reading Recent Enhancements to Form I-9 processing in Workday.

Answers to Common Questions Recently Received by askUS Support

What’s the best way to help a new HR Partner get started with Workday?

The best place to start for anyone new to Workday is the self-paced Workday Fundamentals course. Each of the 13 lessons in this course teaches one of the system's foundational concepts at an entry-level. Lessons cover a variety of topics from basic navigation to organizational structure and business process routing. Employees involved in HR/Payroll processing can also browse categories of detailed training materials or search the askUS Knowledge Base for answers to common questions.

Can the DEFINE signer desk be updated if the electronic office manager is out of the office?

Yes. If a department needs to approve an important document and the electronic office manager is out of the office or not available, the Signature Desk within askUS Support can make this change. Continue reading to learn how.

Does a problem with a Workday business process always require a rescind to fix?

No. A rescind can often be avoided by following the steps outlined in the Workday Rescind Transaction Guidance. As long as a business process is still in progress, you can always cancel it. Even when a business process has been final approved, you may be able to fix it by taking additional action in Workday. Refer to the Rescind Request Matrix to see if your issue falls into one of the fixable categories.
