Thursday, September 17, 2021, at 3 p.m. – Semi-Monthly Mass Advance of Hourly Time for 9/1/21 - 9/15/21.

Thursday, September 23, 2021, at 1 p.m. – Prior Period Mass Advance of Time for the June 2021 time entry lock which occurs on September 30.

Monday, October 4, 2021, at 3 p.m. – Semi-Monthly Mass Advance of Hourly Time for 9/16/21 - 9/30/21.

Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at noon – CSU Transaction Processing Deadline for the Monthly Mass EAJ/Term Process, which runs October 8


What’s New in the Workday Fall Update?

The Workday Fall Update for 2021 includes changes and improvements to several areas, including recruiting, staffing, time & absence, and improved search functionality. Several user experience updates included in the release seek to improve focus and accessibility. Recent Workday Updates

The UT Staff Jobs Website for External Applicants recently received an updated look and feel along with enhanced search capabilities and job posting review. The site now includes a progress bar to help applicants track where they are in the application process.

An updated Workday Benefits Dashboard, available to employees on their Workday homepage, includes information about their retirement plans, insurance premium calendar, and current benefit annual rate. The dashboard also includes direct links to benefits-related Workday tasks and external resources.

Financial Reporting Resources To Save and Share

To assist those in financial roles across campus find the reports they need, here are the top 3 financial reporting resources to save and share.

  1. Financial Reports Landing Page – Contains links to Salary & Payroll reports, such as Allocation Details, and General Accounting Reports, including the Detailed Account Balances (GB2) report.
  2. Financial Transaction Guidance – Links to financial reports guidance documentation.
  3. Workday Job Costing Dashboard – Cost Center Managers can add the Job Costing dashboard to their Workday homepage for quick access to reports, guidance, and other resources.

Can I manage Manual Signature Authority through Electronic Office Management (EOM)?

Departments manage electronic and manual signature authority through different methods due to each controlling specific levels of authorization. You can manage electronic signature authority through the EOM but should contact the Signature Desk to perform manual signature authority changes. Can I update a new worker’s scheduled weekly hours after their start date without rescinding their original hire?

Yes! In Workday, you can initiate a Change Job using the same effective date as the position start date. To learn more, continue reading Change Job, Effective Dates, and Start Dates.

Where can I see all employees paid on an account and the allocation amounts for each employee?

When viewed by account (using the Show For selector), the Allocation Details website will display all the employees paid on the provided account and the allocation amounts for each employee. Along with active, future, and expired allocations, you can also include no pay and canceled allocations by adding them via the Include Status dropdown menu. Training Opportunities – Self-Paced or Instructor-Led

askUS Self-Paced Learning allows users to engage in training lessons and exercises at their own pace and convenience. Current offerings include Workday FundamentalsWorkday for Security Partners, and Financial Fundamentals.
