Workday Fundamentals (Self-Paced Learning)

Exemptions granted for those who previously attended Workday training prior to January 2020.

Course Description

This Workday course is designed for those who are new to Workday as an introductory class for anyone who initiates hires and manages onboarding for new workers at UT.  The course consists of PowerPoint lecture, demonstrations within Workday, and quizzes intended for participants to self-assess their learning.  After class, participants will be expected to apply their knowledge and skills by initiating a hire in a Workday test environment (QUAL). For course credit, participants must attend class and complete the practice exercise successfully. 

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Initiate the Create Position Business Process
  • Initiate the Hire Business Process 
  • Set-up Onboarding 
  • Set a Probationary Period
  • Launch a Probationary Review

Security Role Requirements

At least one of the following Workday security roles must be assigned PRIOR to enrollment in this course.
