Important Dates and Deadlines

Monday, October 3 – FWA Process Submission Window Opens

Tuesday, October 4 at 3 p.m. – Semi-Monthly Mass Advance of Hourly Time for 9/16/22 - 9/30/22.

Wednesday, October 5 at noon – CSU Transaction Processing Deadline for the Monthly Mass EAJ/Term Process for all fixed-term employee and nonemployee positions, which runs Friday, October 7.

Wednesday, October 12 – NTT/F-INA 3-Year Mass Term Run for Fall 2022 will run for Non-Tenure Track Faculty jobs in the F-INA job profile for three or more years as of September 1, 2022.

Tuesday, October 18 at 3 p.m. – Semi-Monthly Mass Advance of Hourly Time for 10/1/22 - 10/15/22.

Monday, October 24 at 1 p.m. – Prior Period Mass Advance of Time for the July 2022 time-entry lock on October 31.

Friday, October 28 at 5 p.m. – FWA Process Submission Window Closes. (This is a firm deadline)

FWA Process Submission Window Opens on October 3

To assist offices in creating Flexible Work Arrangements in Workday for workers who have an uploaded FWA document but do not yet have an FWA request created in Workday, we are offering a one-time Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA) Process. The submission window for the FWA process will run from Monday, October 3 – Friday, October 28, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. For complete guidance on creating and submitting your organization’s request, refer to the Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA) Process Guidance (UT Box).


Transition to My Time and Absence App Completes on October 10

On October 10, 2022, the transition to making the My Time and Absence App the default method for accessing time entry and for employees to manage their time and absences will complete. At that time, the separate Time and Absence apps will disappear from the Your Top Apps and Apps Menu in Workday. Team Time and Absence App Coming October 12

Currently available as an optional app in Workday, the Team Time and Absence App will become automatically available to all Managers, Timekeepers, and Absence Partners on October 12. The new app provides a single place to access time and absence-related information for the workers they support with commonly used reports and tasks linked within the app. The Team Time and Absence App will replace the current Time and Absence and Team Time apps on November 1. How can I help new employees learn to fill out their timesheets?

There are several resources available to help new employees enter and submit time. Start with Submitting Time in Workday in the askUS Knowledge Base. If they need additional help, they can refer to the Enter Timesection of the Employee Resources help page or the Timesheet FAQs.

How do I submit a signed VP5 cover sheet when completing a Travel Reimbursement Request?

Can I change the order of the app icons in Workday?

As of October 1, you will no longer be able to access the university’s mainframe via QWS3270. You must use

DUO authentication changes coming October 19

DUO, the university’s multi-factor authentication service, is changing its interface design beginning October 19, 2022. The change will affect several aspects of the DUO service, including, most notably, a redesigned look and feel to provide a simplified experience when you sign on, allowing faster access to the applications you use. To learn more, continue reading Duo Universal Prompt Update.


Training Opportunities – Self-Paced or Instructor-Led

askUS Self-Paced Learning allows users to engage in training lessons and exercises at their own pace and convenience.

Virtual Instructor-Led Training (ILT) courses are held via Zoom and require registration through UTLearn.
