Updated UT Onboarding Dashboard Coming Soon

An updated UT Onboarding Dashboard will become available during the week of June 28. The update will add tabs to organize information by Job Family Group and include a separate tab for Terminated workers. The Workday report Outstanding Onboarding Tasks - RPT0352 will receive related updates, including simplified onboarding status indicators. For more information, continue reading Updated UT Onboarding Dashboard Coming Soon.

Updated Resources for Absence Partners

In some situations, workers can accrue time off that is unusable by the worker due to a change in status and cannot be paid out upon termination. In these situations, an Absence Partner must remove these time-off balances. To assist with this process, the Payouts at Termination or Loss of Benefit Eligibility - Workday Instructional Guide (WIG) was recently updated to cover reducing unpayable comp time balances in addition to vacation and sick time. To keep up with time off balances that can be paid, Absence Partners can run the Workday report Payable Time Off Balances (Required and Optional) – RPT0371.

Avoiding the Dangers of Retro Actions in Workday

As mentioned before in a discussion of Retro Nightmares, there are times when Workday can accommodate retroactive changes easily and times when they are very difficult. While payroll completion significantly impacts Workday's ability to accommodate retroactive changes, this is especially true when it involves employees with multiple jobs. To learn more about how an employee’s primary job can affect retroactive changes, continue reading Avoiding the Dangers of Retro Actions in Workday.
