Professional-Track Faculty (PTF) Mass Transaction Processing assists offices that manage Professional-Track Faculty contracts by centrally processing Renew, Inactivate, and Reactivate transactions prior to the start of the fall semester. The submission window will run from Monday, July 15, to Friday, July 26, at 5 p.m.

The Mass End Employment Date Extension Process will run from Monday, July 15 to Wednesday, September 4 at noon for Hourly and Salaried Student positions. In addition to extending the end employment date, offices can make changes to Scheduled Weekly Hours, Compensation, Business Title, and Position Title through this process

You asked US! – Answers to Common Questions

How can we avoid needing to merge EIDs for new hires?

Always search Workday by name—including prior names—and any known EIDs before hiring an employee to avoid them ending up with multiple EIDs in Workday. When this happens, the EIDs must be merged, which can be difficult and time-consuming to resolve. For additional information, continue reading Avoiding the Duplicate Pre-Hire Trap.

Why does a manual signer who was removed from a budget group still appear in *DEFINE?

For record-keeping purposes, manual signers who no longer have signature authority may still appear on a budget group. To verify that a person's signature authority has expired, follow the steps in the askUS knowledge base entry Removed Manual Signer Still Appears in DEFINE.

How do I end a primary job retroactively when Switch Primary Job is blocked on the date I need?

For employees with multiple jobs, the primary job is locked during payroll calculations and cannot be changed. Attempting a Switch Primary Job with an effective date within a locked pay period will generate an error. Because ending the job with the correct effective date is not possible, the best workaround is to simulate the job as being ended. For step-by-step instructions, continue reading How to end the primary job when Switch Primary Job is blocked on the effective date.
