Employees can now choose their preferred Default Display Language in Workday to support the university’s goal of increasing inclusiveness and belonging on campus. Employees can choose between thirty-nine languages to use as their default display language using the Change Preferences task.
To assist employees with changing their Default Display Language preference, the Change Preferences Workday Instructional Guide (WIG) is available on the Employee Resources page and includes a list of all available languages.
Note: It is not possible to translate all text within Workday to a non-English default display language. Employees who change their default display language will notice that some text within Workday, especially text created or customized specifically for use by UT, will not be translated into the employee’s preferred language.
Previous inclusiveness and belonging efforts include:
- Phonetic Name Pronunciation Feature Available in Workday
- Workers can now specify Pronouns in Workday
