Update: Job Postings and Job Requisition Change

Published:
April 28, 2022

On April 25, the Job Description Summary field was removed from the Job Requisition and Job Posting templates. Information about the job's purpose, previously entered in the Job Description Summary, will now be entered in the Purpose section of the Job Description field. Recruiters who completed and posted a job requisition this week should compare the Job Requisition and the posting for accuracy. Review the information below to make any necessary changes.

What you need to know:

  • This change does NOT impact job postings active when the update occurred. Any job posted before the change still shows the Job Description Summary section.
  • This change DOES impact job requisitions with an In Progress status before the update and then posted following the update on April 25.
  • Important: If you unpost a job approved before April 25 and then repost that job, the Job Description Summary section will no longer show on the job posting for the applicants to see. To avoid this, you will need to initiate an Edit Job Requisition business process to update the Job Description field to include the Purpose statement before reposting.
