Don’t Let Employee No-Shows Become Retro Nightmares

Often Workday can accommodate retroactive changes easily. Other times retroactive changes are difficult or near impossible. One of the biggest obstacles to accommodating retroactive changes is the impact of payroll completion. As you may know, a completed payroll period impedes our ability to rescind hiring transactions when an employee is a no-show.

During peak hiring periods, CSUs should verify all new hires (via Hire or Add Job) have shown up for work. Verification should occur at least a few days before payroll runs. To review payroll deadlines, visit the Payroll Calendar. For more information, refer to Rescind Request Matrix and the No Call-Never Worked Workday Instructional Guide (WIG).
