Enterprise Technology is enhancing the customer support experience for the UT community by simplifying how campus asks for help.
On November 18, 2025, the existing askUS Support portal will be retired, and the current UT Service Desk portal will relaunch as the Enterprise Technology Support Center portal with a new look and feel. Customers visiting the older sites will be redirected to the new Enterprise Technology Support Center portal.
The central pillar of this enhanced experience is the new, modernized Enterprise Technology Support Center portal that will serve as a single point of entry for all technology support requests. Requests for support will be managed by a unified support team, ensuring an improved, cohesive, and streamlined experience for all campus customers.
The new portal also combines access to materials previously hosted in multiple knowledge bases into a single search bar. The new Enterprise Technology Support Center helps take the guesswork out of knowing where to turn when you need technology support.
What’s Changing?
- A new portal offers customers a modernized, single point of entry for all technology support requests.
- The updated smart intake form automatically routes requests to the correct support team based on information provided by customers.
- Requests will be managed by a unified support team organized to ensure a collaborative and comprehensive approach to providing solutions to customers.
- The askUS and Service Desk brands will be retired in favor of Enterprise Technology Support Center.
What’s Not Changing?
- Knowledge articles related to the University’s HR, Payroll, Financial, and Procurement systems such as Workday, DEFINE, FRMS, and UT Market will remain active and accessible.
- This change will not affect access to Workday documentation or other training materials.
- Campus will receive assistance from the same dedicated team of support analysts that they do today.
- The askUS@austin.utexas.edu email will remain active for a period of time to assist with the transition to the Enterprise Technology Support Center portal.
