Here’s a quick answer to a common question received by the askUS Support Team. To add or update your UT work email address in Workday, follow the steps below.
- Log into Workday
- Type “Change My Contact Information” in the search box.
- Click on the “Change My Contact Information” link when it comes up
- Scroll down the page to the “Work Contact Information” section under which you will find “Primary Email”. (Note – there is a Home Contact Information section and a Work Contact Information section. Make sure you are editing the Primary Email in the Work Contact Information section.)
- Click “Add” (or the pencil icon to edit an existing email address) next to the primary email address to add a new (or edit your existing) UT work email address.

NOTE – UT policy requires that an email address entered into the Work Email Address field in Workday be a valid UT work email address. If you think a particular domain should be allowed as a work email address, contact askUS@austin.utexas.edu.
